INSTRUCTION: ANSWER QUESTION 1 AND ANY OTHER THREE QUESTIONS

Explain to them in detail the source of law in Nigeria 

b. Jack and James in the course of their argument relied on two different provisions of the law

 on same issue. Jack relied on the act of National Assembly while James relied on the provision 

of the house of Assembly of Lagos state. Advice the parties of statutes 

2. Discuss the constitutional devolution of the power amongst the organs and tiers of government in Nigeria 

3. Using decided cases to aid your explanations what canon of interpretation will you apply under the following circumstances

i. if peter slapped joyce hard in the face and act of parliament  states that it is an offence to hit with the palm, first, knuckle or fingers any person on their face .

ii. if peter was armed with frying pan, applying the same rule of interpretation will you apply?

4. Funke is alleging that he was negligently injured by tom. What must funke prove to succeed in this matter?

5. In Nigeria, law may be classified into two major parts. State this classification and describe with examples what constitutes each classification 

6. State the jurisdictions of the following courts:

c. federal high courts
d. court of Appeal
e. the supreme court
